A weed scientist with South Dakota State University Extension says the delayed planting season and updated dicamba application deadline means farmers should have a plan in place if they’re using the herbicide.
Eric Jones tells Brownfield if farmers planted soybeans late, it’s best to use dicamba early post-emergence.
“And then, if you have to come back and do a sequential application to control the later germinating weeds, that’s what I would recommend.
