Access to healthcare remains a challenge for rural America. Missouri Farm Bureau is making it a priority for its members in the 2023 state legislative session. During his president address on Monday, Garrett Hawkins told members two lawmakers are supporting the legislation.
“State Senator Sandy Crawford and State Representative Kurtis Gregory are filing the legislation to allow Missouri Farm Bureau to offer health plans to members whose needs aren’t being met under the existing Affordable Care Act.”
Hawkins explains to Brownfield there is a policy component to setting up health care.
