At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle futures ended the day higher on firm buyer support following Friday’s neutral to bullish Cattle on Feed report. While short-term supplies remain abundant, there are some concerns about the long-term availability of beef. Feeder cattle closed higher on the same factors. October live cattle closed $2.50 higher at $101.85 and December live cattle closed $2.62 higher at $107.77. October feeder cattle closed $2.05 higher at $141.25 and November feeder cattle closed $2.70 higher at $139.72.
