At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle futures closed lower on the weaker cash trade
and lower wholesale values. Feeder
cattle were lower on the same factors. October
live cattle closed $.87 lower at $98.92 and December live cattle closed $.57
lower at $103.67. September feeder
cattle closed $1.00 lower at $132.40 and October feeder cattle closed $1.17
lower at $130.80.
The week wrapped up with a light direct cash cattle trade took place in parts of the South at $103 live.
