At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle futures were higher on strength in wholesale
values during the session, optimistic cash trade, and position squaring ahead
of Thursday’s report. Feeder cattle were
supported by the day’s lower move in corn.
April live cattle closed
$.70 higher at $129.92 and June live cattle closed $.45 higher at $120.05. March feeder cattle closed $.95 higher at $143.45
and April feeder cattle closed $1.12 higher at $146.77.
Direct cash cattle trade remains quiet this afternoon.
