At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were mixed on spread trade. With support from the expected higher cash
trade and higher wholesale values during the session. Feeder cattle were lower ahead of widespread
direct trade. December live cattle closed $.62 lower at $119.45 and February live
cattle closed $.07 higher at $124.67 and feeder cattle closed $1.22 lower at
$147.85 and January feeder cattle closed $.22 lower at $145.77.
Direct cash cattle trade activity is still quiet with no major activity just yet.
