Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures closed lower on profit taking and the lack
of support from the cash trade. April
live cattle closed $1.50 lower at $126.05 and June contracts closed $1.22 lower
at $120.35. April feeder cattle closed
$.17 lower at $146.15 and May feeder cattle closed $.15 higher at $150.22.
A light trade has developed this afternoon. Live deals were at $126 with some dressed business at mostly $205.
