Chicago Mercantile Exchange live cattle futures were mixed, mostly lower on a lack of follow through buying and position squaring ahead of this week’s widespread direct cash business. Also, while beef was higher at midday, it wasn’t up to the degree it had been in previous sessions. April was down $.62 at $121.10 and June was up $.17 at $105.05.
Feeder cattle were mixed on the same factors as the live pit.
