Mercantile Exchange, live cattle ended the day lower on a weaker than expected Export
Sales report and generally weaker commodity prices. February live cattle closed $1.05 lower at
$124.72 and April live cattle closed $.80 lower at $125.67. January feeder cattle closed $1.30 lower at
$143.35 and March feeder cattle closed $1.05 lower at $142.67.
A light to moderate direct cash cattle trade was reported across most major feeding areas on Friday.
