At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were lower, and feeders were mostly lower waiting for the week’s direct business to develop. December live cattle closed $.35 lower at $185 and February lives closed $.30 lower at $189.32. November feeders closed $.70 higher and January feeders were unchanged at $251.80.
It was another quiet day for direct cash cattle business. Bids and asking prices were non-existent. It looks like significant trade volume is going to be delayed until at least midweek or later.
