At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures closed higher today on a late rally to take back some of the losses in recent sessions. Contracts were oversold and due for a bounce. August live cattle closed $.95 higher at $108.62 and October live cattle closed $.97 higher at $110.27. August feeder cattle closed $2.50 higher at $141.82 and September feeder cattle closed $2.37 higher at $151.95.
Direct cash cattle trade is slow – with just a few scattered bids reported.
