Hot weather is stressing crops and livestock in Michigan.
The USDA says corn is now 96 percent emerged with condition rated 71 percent good to excellent. Soybeans are 11 percent in bloom and 72 percent good to excellent.
The wheat crop is 45 percent mature and 71 percent good to excellent.
Dry beans are 78 percent emerged and 67 percent good to excellent. The first cutting of alfalfa is 84 percent complete.
