Hours of service requirements lifted for haulers of fertilizer in Minnesota

Governor Walz has issued an executive order temporarily
exempting hours of service requirements for drivers of commercial vehicles deliver
fertilizer to Minnesota farmers.

Walz says weather events have delayed and shortened the
planting season, forcing farmers in multiple states to begin fieldwork at the
same time and increasing the demand for anhydrous ammonia and other
fertilizers.

The order went into effect Friday and lasts 30 days.
