Hubbs: U.S. corn exports slow

U.S. corn exports got off to
a very slow start this marketing year and an ag economist says a lot of that
has to do with Brazil.

Todd Hubbs with the University
of Illinois says that large run up on expectations of a shorter U.S. crop
weakened this summer and a huge differential formed between Brazil and U.S.
export prices, “Depending on what one you looked at, it was over 40-cents. And
it just so happened this year the safrina crop in Brazil was huge.
