The 4-H livestock judging team from Christian County has earned first place overall in the senior division at the Illinois state judging contest.
Team members Cody Knodle, Ty Knodle, Lizzie Schafer and Layne Lebshier competed in 105-degree heat along with 170 other 4-H members on Monday.
The Christian County team will have the opportunity to represent Illinois at the national 4-H livestock judging contest at the American Royal this fall.
The team from Knox County took second place and the Morgan County team received third place honors in the senior division.
