A Peoria, Illinois ethanol plant is shut down after it suffered an explosion and caught fire Wednesday night. The Peoria Fire Department says the ADM plant has suffered around $2 million of damage.
Peoria Battalion Chief Steve Rada says fire crews were unable to fully enter the plant and extinguish the fire earlier this morning because of structural issues and high CO2 levels.
Reports say two plant workers are being treated for smoke inhalation, but no other injuries have been reported.
