A Northeastern Illinois farmer tells Brownfield he’s in a sweet spot for planting and has nearly all his corn in the ground, “We were not part of the area that had the late snows like central Illinois. We were actually north of that. And we didn’t get the heavy rains that Wisconsin and the very northern part of Illinois had. So, we got started last Monday afternoon.” Paul Jeschke says he also has some of his soybeans planted.
