Illinois weed scientist recognized with national award

The head of the University of

Illinois’ crop science department has received a Fellow award from the Weed

Science Society of America.

Adam Davis was presented with

the society’s highest honor during its annual meeting last week for his

contributions to weed science, especially his use of ecological and

quantitative principles to inform effective weed management.

Davis tells Brownfield he

credits his past mentors and current colleagues for helping him receive the honor.
