The Impossible Whopper reportedly didn’t lift Burger King’s
fourth quarter same-store sales as high as Wall Street estimates.
A report from CNBC says analysts expected Burger King’s same-store sales growth
to be 3.1 percent. Sales grew, but despite the buzz about the plant-based
sandwich, growth was only 0.6 percent.
Last quarter the company said the Impossible Whopper strongly contributed to
Burger King’s 5 percent same-store sales growth. The sandwich was launched
nationally in August.
