It’s an impressive first crop condition rating for Minnesota corn and soybeans.
The USDA says 90 percent of the state’s corn acreage and 86 percent of the soybean crop is in good to excellent condition.
Soybean planting is nearly finished, and corn emergence has reached 97 percent.
Bruce Potter with the University of Minnesota says despite the high marks, there’s still a lot of variability across the state.
