Indiana corn, soybean leaders pleased with US-Japan deal

Leaders with the Indiana Soybean Alliance and the Indiana Corn Growers Association are pleased the US and Japan have signed a limited trade deal.

President Trump and Japanese Prime Minster Abe signed the deal on the sidelines of the United Nations’ General Assembly meeting Wednesday.

Japan has agreed to cut or eliminate tariffs on corn, beef,

pork, wheat, cheese, and other commodities.

Indiana Corn Growers Association President Sarah Delbecq

says farmers must maintain foreign markets to remain competitive.
