Corn and soybean planting has reached the late stages in Indiana.
The USDA says 97% of corn is planted, compared to the five-year average of 94%, and 89% has emerged, compared to 83% on average, with 74% of the crop called good to excellent.
92% of soybeans are planted, compared to the usual rate of 85%, with 80% emerged, compared to 71% on average, and 73% of the crop in good to excellent shape.
