Indiana executive order eases restrictions on drivers delivering propane

Indiana

Governor Eric Holcomb has signed an executive order to ease restrictions on

truck drivers carrying propane.

According

to the order, drivers are exempt from regulations restricting their hours of

service.

Holcomb

says Hoosiers are experiencing unseasonably cold weather which has increased

the demand for propane for ag operations. He says demand for propane exceeds

the locally available supply of propane and has caused drivers transporting

propane to drive longer distances.

The order is effective until December 2.
