North Central Indiana farmer Dennis Maple says he’s had a good planting season, “Planting was about the easiest planting season we’ve had, especially compared to last year. We started our corn in late April and we just followed right up to the bean planting. Our corn’s about V-11.” Maple says his soybeans are about five inches tall. “We’re a little bit dry. We’ve missed some of the rain that’s come through.”
May was extremely dry and Maples says things have cooled off a bit.
