Indigo Ag is partnering with Consolidated Grain and Barge Co to launch a pilot program that quantifies sustainable cropping practices.
Indigo Ag’s Dan Mehochko, vice president of commercial business development, tells Brownfield the program measures carbon impact and rewards farmers for producing grain with reduced emissions.
“CGB is going to identify where we want to originate some of the grain, and then we’ll identify a few practices that make an impact on the scope 3 emissions,” he says.
