Inflation pressuring farmers to produce a good grain crop

Inflation has heightened the importance of producing strong corn and soybean crops in 2023.

Eureka, Illinois grain and hog farmer Chad Leman tells Brownfield he is feeling extra pressure to produce a good crop in 2023.

“When you look at feed costs for pigs, it appears vital that we grow a bin buster corn and soybean crop in the state and in the country to keep feed prices from continuing to climb.”

He says feeding $7 corn to pigs is challenging.
