The USDA Farm Service Agency’s initial 2019 acreage numbers are out
Monday, August 12th. The data includes planted area, prevent plant acreage, and
failed acres, and will be used to determine eligibility in several USDA
programs, including Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage. The
USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service will use the FSA numbers to
complement its survey results for the updated crop production numbers, also out
Monday, along with new World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates from the
Office of the Chief Economist.
