PoreShield is a soy-based protectant that extends the life of concrete. It was developed through a collaboration of the Indiana Soybean Alliance, Purdue, and the Indiana Department of Transportation in 2008 and recently licensed by Crafco.
Indiana farmer Denise Scarborough says every mile of two lane highway uses 200 bushels of Indiana soybeans, which creates more value for Indiana soybean farmers. Crafco will pay a royalty to the Indiana Soybean Alliance that can then be reinvested into programming for the benefit of Indiana soybean farmers.
