Iowa ag secretary Mike Naig was one of several U.S. ag leaders who were present in New York City today for the signing of the U.S.-Japan trade agreement.
Although the deal is being described as “preliminary”, Naig says he’s confident it is a solid agreement.
“It was good to be in the room today to listen to the
interaction and dialogue between Prime Minister Abe and President Trump, and it
was very, very clear from that discussion that this is just a starting point,”
Naig says.
