Four percent of Iowa’s corn crop is mature.
But the latest report from USDA says on average,
development is nearly two weeks behind.
The condition rating for corn improved slightly to 63 percent
good to excellent.
Soybeans turning color reached 15 percent, 12 days behind last
year and nine days slower than normal.
Sixty-one percent of Iowa soybeans are rated good to excellent, one percent better than a week ago.
