A southwest Iowa farmer says he’s concerned about another year of high input costs.
Duane Aistrope of Fremont County says he’s contemplating some cutbacks, but won’t sacrifice crop nutrition.
“We’re looking at ways to cut corners where we can,” he said. “But then again, you don’t want to cut too many corners because it could turn around and have a bad effect when it comes time to harvest.”
He tells Brownfield fuel prices continue to be a concern, and he’s holding off on booking his supplies.
