Central Iowa farmer Dennis Bogaards describes this year’s weather as a ‘roller-coaster’—a dry spring, a wet June, a hot and dry mid-summer, and a now a wet September.
Even with the ups and downs, Bogaards says he’s happy with his early corn and soybean yields.
“Soybeans look to be mid-60’s to upper 70’s—it just kind of depends on the field,” Bogaards says. “On corn, we took out some 105-day corn the other day that went 238.
