An eastern Iowa farmer says he’s getting more and more optimistic about the 2024 growing season.
Tim Meyer says his area recently received a good amount of precipitation. “We’re dry, but we’re picking up some moisture for the most part. I’ve been thankful that we haven’t had a lot of freeze and thaw days. It’s allowed us to get a little more moisture into the ground.”
He tells Brownfield there’s also been some relief when it comes to production costs.
