An east-central Iowa farmer says Japanese beetles have been feeding on his corn and soybean crops.
Dallas Tomlinson farms south of Waterloo near Traer. “I don’t know how much of an impact they can have, but when you walk around you sure hate to see that many holes (in the crop) and that much defoliation.”
He tells Brownfield insecticides have been effective. “We try to use ones that last long and have a little bit of systemic activity to them.
