Iowa farmers were finally able to make some harvest progress last week, after weeks of weather-related delays.
As of Sunday, the state’s corn harvest was 29 percent complete overall, up from 17 percent the previous week. Harvest progress ranged from 46 percent in the southeast to 19 percent in the northeast.
Likewise, soybean harvest jumped from 19 percent to 37 percent. But that’s still the smallest percentage of the Iowa soybean crop harvested by October 21st since 1985.
