Soil health is a hot topic. Missouri Soybeans Agronomy and Research Director Eric Oseland says that’s the case because of the need to keep row crop farming sustainable. Oseland says incorporating cover crops and no till, or conservation tillage, can promote microbial health and sound soil structure allowing nutrients and water to infiltrate and move through the soil. Even then, improvements can take years.
