A farmer in southeast South Dakota says conditions haven’t been too bad for corn and soybeans.
Kevin Scott in southeastern South Dakota says growth varies for soybeans and corn.
“It’s growing well and I can’t tell you the leaf stage right now, but it’s time to spray.”
Scott says there aren’t too many weeds, but there are some tough spots in fields.
“Because the corn is growing quickly, we’ve got 20 inch rows and we need to get on the weeds.”
He says in the local cooperative is using drones to spray fields that are a little muddy in spots.
