Soybeans were sharply lower on fund and technical selling, with the July contract establishing a new four-month low. The U.S. crop is in good shape and most near-term forecasts have rain, but it is early in the season and more of the Midwest showed up in this week’s drought monitor. Weekly export numbers were bearish, old and new crop, and there’s been no public progress in agricultural trade talks with China. Soybean meal and oil were lower, following beans.
