Kansas State University’s Agriculture Innovation Initiative has received a $25 million matching award from the Kansas Legislature.
The initiative – which includes facility upgrades, expansion and new construction – invests in education, research and industry partnerships in grain, food, animal and agronomic sciences. The university says it will provide both new and improved teaching spaces for more than half of all the students taking courses in the College of Agriculture.
In January, the state Legislature said if KSU raised $25 million in private donations that it would match that amount.
