Key to ag tech adoption is identifying problem that needs solving

Farmers are trying to keep up with constant advancements in
ag technology.

WinField United director of digital transformation Joel Wipperfurth says the best way to evaluate which pieces of ag tech are the most essential is to start with a problem that needs solving.

“I think so many times farmers get approached by a solution, but they don’t really have a problem. And if the farmer starts with the problem, that’s probably the best place that adoption really takes off.”

He tells Brownfield farmers are faced with more complex decisions than ever before, and suggests the risks are higher as well.
