Southwest Iowa farmer Duane Aistrope says the drought has been worse than 2012.
“This year, we just can’t seem to get a rain. The corn is going to be short, a lot of short corn. It’s going to be close to tasseling before too long. We need a drink. That’s for sure.”
He tells Brownfield it’s also impacting his cattle business.
“I started feeding hay to cattle on my cow/calf operation.
