Land O’Lakes has a new name for its international business
that spans nearly four decades.
John Ellenberger is executive director of the cooperative’s Venture37, a non-profit that does ag based development around the world.
“Thirty-seven refers to the percent of the Earth’s land that is used by farmers to raise the crops and livestock that help to nourish the soon to be 10 billion people.”
He says the front part of the name Venture37 acknowledges that to meet the challenges of feeding a growing population, business will need to be done differently than it was in the past.
