Land values seem to be holding. Randy Dickhut with Farmers National
Company tells Brownfield there’s less land on the market and interest rates are
still favorable for borrowers.
“Even though [interest rates are] edging up, if you look at the longer-term
they’re still a lot lower,” Dickhut told Brownfield Ag News Tuesday, “and that
corresponds and is capitalized into land values too.”
Sellers are primarily those who inherit land and find that dividing proceeds
from a sale is simpler than dividing land among survivors.
