The USDA says 83% of U.S. soybeans are harvested, compared to the five-year average of 89%, with steady to slower paces in 17 of the top 18 production states.
76% of corn is harvested, compared to 77% on average, with 11 of the 18 top states steady to slower than normal.
Stewart-Peterson market analyst Naomi Blohm says the latest harvest progress figures won’t move the needle.
“It’s likely going to be more of a quiet market day (Tuesday) as we continue to monitor election results.
