At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle ended the day higher ahead of widespread direct
cash business and support from some strength in the wholesale values. Feeder cattle were higher on the same factors
with some additional support coming from the days steady to modestly lower move
in corn. October live cattle closed $.30
higher at $108.47 and December live cattle closed $.32 higher at $111.17. October feeder cattle closed $2.47 higher at
$144.50 and November feeder cattle closed $3.00 higher at $144.25.
