At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, both live and feeder cattle ended the day mostly lower on
position squaring ahead of the USDA’s Cattle on Feed report and a less than
stellar Export Sales Report. December
live cattle closed $.52 lower at $114.72 and February live cattle closed $.37
lower at $114.72. November feeder cattle
closed $.57 lower at $144.17 and January contracts closed $.62 lower at
$140.57.
A moderate direct cash cattle trade is underway.
