Letter to House leadership calls for immediate extension of Biodiesel Tax Credit

Members of Congress are urging House leadership to extend the biodiesel tax incentive immediately. Minnesota Democrat Angie Craig tells Brownfield she doesn’t understand why the tax credit remains in limbo year in and year out. “We’ve got an opportunity here to support our agriculture markets and community, and also cut down on carbon production and have cleaner energy sources in this country. And when those two things come together at the same time, it’s just not something that I’m willing to step aside and not lead on.” Craig joined a bipartisan group of representatives who wrote House leaders, saying biodiesel and renewable diesel represent a sustainable and alternative fuel source that reduces greenhouse gas emissions and supports thousands of green jobs across the country.
