US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer outlined the trade agenda for the remainder of 2019 to the House Ways and Means Committee during a hearing this morning. Ranking member Kevin Brady of Texas wanted an update on the trade talks with China. Brady asked, “If China comes back to the table you are ready to engage?” Lighthizer says absolutely. “There was a lot of good work done,” he says. “A lot of trust was built up. They are very tough negotiators and very professions.
