June live closed $1.27 higher at $173.32 and August lives closed $.92 higher at $170.90. May feeder cattle closed $1.00 lower at $237.17 and August feeders closed $.37 lower at $248.25.
Direct cash cattle trade activity was quiet Monday. Showlists are mixed—higher in Texas but lower in Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas. Bids and asking prices didn’t surface.
