
At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were mixed, and feeders were lower ahead of the week’s direct cash business and Friday’s On Feed numbers. February live cattle closed $.27 higher at $156.05 and April lives closed $.22 higher at $159.92. January feeders closed $1.67 lower at $182.10 and March feeders closed $.90 lower at $183.80.
Direct cash cattle trade activity was quiet to start the week. Showlists are mixed – larger in Kansas, but smaller in Texas, and Nebraska/Colorado.
